Olga Pershankova - Olga joined the Russian Ice Stars in 1995. She was born in Russia in 1972 and learnt to skate when she was five. During her career Olga was a member of the Junior National team, the Junior Moscow Champion, second in the Cup of USSR (1986). Olga competed in the European and World Championships in 1994. She attended the University of Physical Culture and is a Master of Sport, coach and teacher of physical culture.
Alexei Kozlov - Born in Tallinn in 1979, Alexei began skating at the age of four. He was Estonian Champion in 1991, 2001, 2003 and 2004. Alexei has also competed in the World Junior Championship and the European Championship. This is his third year with the Russian Ice Stars, having performed in Cinderella and Snow White on Ice.
Olga Stepanova - Olga was born in Russia in the town of Perm on 13th May 1982 and began skating when she was five years old. She was a member of the Russian National junior team. She achieved first place in championships in Zagreb, Croatia (2000) and in North Korea. Before joining the Russian Ice Stars Olga performed in Disney on Ice (2000-2001) and the Bobrin’s Ice theatre in Russia (2001-2005).
Viktoriya Shklover - Born in Kiev in 1984, Viktoriya learnt to skate at the age of four. During her skating career Viktoriya has competed in the World Championships (2000-2002), European Championships (2000-2002), Junior Championships (1999-2000), the Estonia National (1998-2002), Estonia Cup (1999-2002), the Tallinn Cup (1999-2002), Junior Grand Prix (1998-2000) and many other top competitions. She went on to perform in Holiday on Ice.
Andrei Shishkov - Andrei was born in Moscow in 1982 and he learnt to skate when he was four years old. He began his career as a single skater and in 2001, became World Junior Champion in the World European Championship. Andrei has performed with the Moscow Ballet on Ice and the Russian Ballet on Ice. This is his fourth year with the Russian Ice Stars and he has appeared in Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and Snow White on Ice.
Vladislov Petrov - Born in St Petersburg in 1983, Vladislov began skating when he was five years old. He skated in many competitions and has won both first place and second place in the St Petersburg Championships. He has performed with the St Petersburg Children’s Ice Theatre, the Medrano Circus in Italy and Tyan Lun Yuan in China.
Alexander Belokopytov and Ekaterina Belokopytova
- Also known as Sasha and Katya, both are from the town of Saratov, Russia. They both studied athletic training at the Circus School
and after completing their education, attended the Moscow Circus College graduating in 1992 with the qualification of Ari Gymnasts, Sasha and Katya have performed with the Moscow Circus on Ice
and have travelled with them to Argentina, France, Egypt, Spain, Korea and Saudi Arabia.
They are now in their eighth year with the Russian Ice Stars having illustrated their amazing skills in Peter Pan, Phantom of the Opera, Barnum, Nutcracker, Sensational Ice, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and Snow White on Ice. Their expertise in the air will once more have you on the edge of your seat!
Svetlana Perkina
- Svetlana was born in 1983 in Moscow. She started to skate when she was four years old. During her competitive years she took part in numerous Moscow and Russian Championships and in 1998 came first in the Open cup of Italy (juniors). She is a student of the Russian University of Physical Culture, Tourism and Sport, a Candidate Master of Sport single and a Candidate Master of Sport in short-track.
Svetlana Golubeva - A distinguished actress of Russian Federation. Svetlana was born in Moscow in 1970 and has skated since she was four years old. In 1977 Svetlana joined the Moscow Children’s Theatre on Ice and in following years, in the Great Moscow Circus on Ice. She also trained as an acrobat, flying gymnast and bird trainer (doves).
Ekaterina Koryukhina - Born in St Petersburg in 1983. Ekaterina has been skating since she was five years old. She is a Master of Sport. Ekaterina has participated in numerous competitions in Russia and performed with the Bobrin Ice Theatre prior to coming to England. This is Ekaterina’s third year with the Russian Ice Stars; she has performed in Cinderella and Show White on Ice.
Marina Timofeeva - Marina was born in Tallinn in 1984 and has been skating since the age of four. When she was twelve she began dance skating and together with her partner, they became Junior Estonian Champions from 1997 to 2003. Marina achieved first place in the Austrian Cup (2000), in the Czech Republic (junior) in 2002 and third place in the Czech Republic (senior) in 2003. Marina studied at the St Petersburg Academy of Sport.
Claire Bournet - Born in 1985, Claire is from Perpignan, France.
She began skating when she was eight years old. She attained first place in the French Club Championship (2000) and won the French Championship Ballet on Ice (2001). During her professional career she toured with Philippe Candeloro (2000-2003) and in Holiday on Ice (2004). Claire joined the Russian Ice Stars two years ago and has performed in Cinderella and Snow White on Ice.
Irina Tkachuk - Born in Rostov-Na-Dony, Russia, Irina began skating at the age of six. She competed for many years and in 1999 won first place in the Grand Prix in Slovenia and third place in the Junior Grand Prix. The following year she achieved first place at the Winter Universaide. In 2001 Irina was first in the Junior Grand Prix. After turning professional she appears in Holiday on Ice (Hollywood) for two years.
Sergei Smirnov - Sergei is from St Petersburg, Russia. He was born in 1972 and began skating when he was five years old. He graduated from the Academy of Physical Culture in St Petersburg and competed in numerous competitions. He is a Master of Sport of the International Degree. Sergei has achieved first place at the Belarus Cup twice, second place at the Russian Championships and seventh place at the European Championships.
Ekaterina Murugova - Katya has been skating since she was four years old. In 1985 she joined the Russian National Team, and became the Junior National Champion. Katya achieved second place in the Friendly Cup (1984 and 1985), in the Junior World Champion (1987 and 1988). She took first the USSR Cup (1988 and 1989) and from 1987 to 1991 won the Russian Championship. Katya is a Master of Sport at the International Degree.
Valdis Mintals - Born in Tallinn in 1979 and skating since he was four years of age, Valdis's career began as a single skater. He achieved fourth place in the National Championships and in 1995 began pair skating. From 1998 to 2002 Valdis and his partner Victoriya Shklover were prize winners of the World Championships, European Championships, Junior World, National and many International Competitions.
Danil Tataurov - Danil was born in 1983 in Ekaterinburg in Russia and has been skating since he was four years old. He has won the Russian Championship and Cup of Russia and has performed with the Bobrin Ice Theatre in Russia. This is Danil’s second year with the Russian Ice Stars; his first performance with them was in Show White on Ice last year.
Oleg Tataurov - Oleg was born in St Petersburg in 1973 and was six years old when he began to skate. During his competitive years he came eleventh in the Olympic Games (1994), third in the Universiade (1990), first in the Cup of USSR (1991-1992), fifth in the European Championships (1991-1993), first in the Moscow News (1993), second in the Russian National Championships (1991-1994) and eighth in the World Championships (1992-1994).
Svetlana Kuprina - Svetlana was born in 1973 in Moscow and has been skating since she was five. In 1990 she was a member of the Russian National Team and has an International Degree of Master of Sport. Svetlana came first in the Russian National Championship (1990), in the Spartakiade of Russia (1990), in the Russian Cup (1990-1992), in the Cup of Alps in Obersdorf Germany (1992) and second in the World Universiade in Poland in 1993.
Yury Kuprin - Born in Moscow in 1972 Yury was only ten years old when he began training as an acrobat. During his training he worked in the circus and travelled around Russia as a floor acrobat. He got a degree in the Circus School in Floor Acrobats and Vaulting. He did not begin skating until he was 20. During his professional career Yury performed with Russia on Ice in America and with the Bolshoi Moscow Circus on Ice.
Dmitri Naumkin - Dmitri was born in Ekaterinaburg, Russia in 1976. He has been skating since the age of three. In 1995, Dmitri achieved first place in both the World Junior Championship and in the Nevelhorn Trophy. He won first place in the Winter Universiade Championships (1997 & 1999), second place Russian Championship (1998), third place in the Challenge Lysiane Lauret and first place at the World Winter Universiade Championships three years ago.
Mikhail Stifounine - Mikhail was born in Moscow in 1978. He began his skating career at the age of four, training as a single skater and progressed to ice dancing when he was eleven. From 1995 to 1996 Mikhail won gold at both the Grand Prix Championship St Gervais and at the Grand Prix Championships Chemnitz, and silver at the Russian Championships. Between 1996 and 1997 he was Russian Champion and also Junior World Champion.
Andrey Chuvilyaev - Andrey was born in Moscow in 1978. He started skating when he was four at the Spartak sports club. Andrey and his partner Victoria Borzenkova were members of the Russian Senior Team for the last 8 years, competing in the World and European Championships as well as winning several major National competitions. They won the Student Olympics twice.
Yulia Kovina - Yulia was born in 1981 in Moscow. She has been skating since she was four years old. Yulia has a Master of Sport degree and is a graduate of the State Academy of Physical Culture and Sport. For the last seven years Yulia has worked for the Moscow Circus on Ice.
Denis Balandin - Denis was born in 1984 in the town of Orenburg in the Urals. He started skating when he was four years old. He has a Master of Sport degree and is a graduate of the Olympic Reserve School in Moscow. Denis is a participant of a number of International competitions: Russian Junior Championship in 1999; Junior Grand Prix in 1999; Junior World Championship in 2000; Universidad in 2005.
